An Introduction to Person-Centered Care and Person-Centered Recovery Planning (Video Series)
This course provides a foundational understanding of Person-Centered Recovery Planning (PCRP) in adult mental health services. Through video lectures and practical exercises, learners will explore the four P's of PCRP: Philosophy, Product, Process, and Plan. The course emphasizes the importance of a holistic approach that considers the whole person, their strengths, community connections, and right to self-determination. This training series includes interview clips featuring advocates and professionals who have direct experience with person-centered care and recovery planning.
There are three videos in this course. The first video provides basic information about the training series and introduces Person Centered Recovery Planning through the lens of the four P's. In the first video, Philosophy and Product are presented. In the second video, the focus is entirely on the Process P of the four P's, organized around four principles of person-centered care in behavioral health. In the final video, the last P, Plan, is reviewed and the core components of the written plan document are introduced.
This series is designed for administrators, direct service providers, supervisors, and anyone else looking to gain a multi-dimensional appreciation of Person-Centered Recovery Planning in mental health.
Videos are supplemented with exercises and resources to support use and application of the content.
