Family and Youth Peer Advocates provide critical support to families and young people across all child-serving systems in New York State. They work in community-based organizations, mental health clinics, schools, independent living centers, residential programs and hospitals. They bring the valuable perspective and expertise that comes from lived-experience. In addition, as a part of their credentialing process, they complete role-specific competency based training. CTAC works in partnership with Families Together in New York State to support the Family and Youth Peer workforce and the organizations through which they are employed.
