Article 29-I In-Person March Training

In March 2019, MCTAC and NYS OCFS facilitated in-person trainings throughout New York concerning the Article 29-I license. The purpose of these trainings was to provide a foundational understanding of the Article 29-I requirements, address themes and concerns that came up during past focus groups, and have Voluntary Foster Care Agencies (VFCAs) develop a strategic plan for implementing Article 29-I.

Topics included allocations, EHR, phased implementation, preparing to work with Managed Care, etc.

In collaboration with NYS OASAS, CASA/MCTAC held an event focusing on: 

-National Trends and Innovations in Substance Use Services and Healthcare
-Substance Use Services Role in a Transforming Healthcare System
-Implications for Care

Keynote Speaker: Vivek H. Murthy, M.D.  the 19th Surgeon General of the United States 
Featuring: Tami Mark, PhD, MBA, Senior Director, Behavioral Health and Criminal Justice at RTI International

Tools to Support the Development of a Performance Driven Culture (Long Island and NYC)

These in-person events provided expertise, case examples, and templates/tools answering the following questions: 

  • Why is data important?
  • What data should be collected and how do I start?
  • How can I improve my organization through the use of data?
  • How do I define the value and impact of services?
  • What are best practices for cross-system collaboration and data sharing?
