This webinar provided a service overview, discussed managed care billing and contracting, and reviewed medical necessity/UM, referrals, and recommendations for Youth Peer Support and Training. 

The goal of this webinar was to provide reminders of key readiness efforts that should already be underway for the Jan 1st 2020 YPST transition to Managed Care.

The webinar also included a few case examples of YPST and provided opportunity for Q&A regarding preparing for Managed Care.

In Part One of this two-part presentation, we will explore what research and data tell us about Youth Peer Advocates. Here we will review data collected from interviews with Youth Peer Advocates, Family Peer Advocates, and Care Managers involved with the NYS System of Care High Fidelity Wraparound Initiative. Additionally, we will explore data collected from interviews with families and youth enrolled in the program.  

Children's HCBS Billing

This webinar covered billing for Children's Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) once the services are carved in to Medicaid Managed Care on October 1, 2019.

Article 29-I In-Person March Training

In March 2019, MCTAC and NYS OCFS facilitated in-person trainings throughout New York concerning the Article 29-I license. The purpose of these trainings was to provide a foundational understanding of the Article 29-I requirements, address themes and concerns that came up during past focus groups, and have Voluntary Foster Care Agencies (VFCAs) develop a strategic plan for implementing Article 29-I.

Topics included allocations, EHR, phased implementation, preparing to work with Managed Care, etc.
