Presented by MCTAC partners at ICL and NYAPRS, this webinar was intended for Health Home care managers and adult BH HCBS providers interested in learning more about how to best engage peers in service settings. NYAPRS provided an overview of the peer approach using data to illustrate its benefits and shared strategies for outreach and engagement. ICL shared their experience in providing HCBS Peer Support services, and discussed how peer support can serve as an effective engagement tool, a bridge to other services, and a critical component of recovery oriented practice.
The power of peer support services has reached a high level of visibility, and measureable success that is now recognized nationwide and is being funded by state and local governments, community healthcare providers and managed care. Clinic services are changing at a rapid pace as well and looking to new and innovative approaches to achieve desired outcomes. Join 3 of New York’s leading Peer innovators as they share a backdrop on the growing sophistication and emerging evidence for the effectiveness of peer run service innovations.
