The first of two webinars designed to present the evidence for the critical role of caregivers and provide practical strategies and approaches to increase practitioner comfort with and success in engaging caregivers. Participants will have the opportunity to present examples of successes and challenges while utilizing these engagement practices and offer insight for continued improvement and sustainability.
The transition into adulthood is a continuous process of rapid psychosocial change. This time can be particularly challenging and complex for youth transitioning out of foster care or those dealing with mental health and substance abuse issues. Service providers often struggle to provide the right mix of services to support these youth that straddle the child and adult worlds. Participants will gain an increased understanding of the unique needs of young adults and innovative interventions to support their transition to adulthood.
