Disasters such as Hurricane Sandy leave a swath of destruction in their wake: the anticipated and actual danger, the evacuation from one’s place of comfort and safety and subsequent loss of life, homes and property understandably lead to intense fear, heightened anxiety, prolonged sadness, guilt, uncertainty and worry.
