While families come in many forms, we often downplay the role that mothers have in the lives of young Black boys. This podcast focuses on the mothers of Black boys, the unsung heroes are who are more than deserving of our praise.

Children's Summit 2015: The WHY of Family Centered Care

Family-Centered Care is an approach that extends beyond being “nice” to families.  It is about aligning relationships and service delivery in a manner that gets results! This session will include a brief overview of Family-Centered Care.  Participants will hear about three elements that can throw progress off-track, and experience an immersion exercise that will lead to a deeper understanding of the WHY of this essential healthcare competency.
