Combating Mental Health Stigma

Provider Stigma Self-Learning Course

This self-paced learning module provides opportunities to explore and address provider biases about mental health that can contribute to practices that inadvertently promote mental health stigma. The course offers an overview of how mental health stigma is perpetuated, its effects on service participants, and what providers can do to address it. It also includes self-reflection activities and short interview clips with providers who have also experienced mental health stigma themselves, and their suggestions for what providers can do to create a more supportive relationship with the people they serve.
